Home for the Holidays

Being home for the holidays is wonderful, especially since college is 5,000+ (!) miles away.  With the largest ocean in the world somewhere in between home and college.  It feels nice to be in a place I have always felt comfortable with the people that I care about.

But you know what’s going to suck?  Leaving.  My friend told me leaving after coming home for the first time is possibly the worst visit.  Because here I am, drinking guava juice and eating French bread toast, and I will have to return to another semester of college away from home.

It will be hard.  But those are some of the things that are a part of growing up, I suppose.

Sometimes, I wish I didn’t grow up so quickly.

  1. I miss the days when MissingNo was a huge not-so-secret-secret.

I’m really glad you’re all back though, because it really doesn’t feel right to know that people that I used to see every day aren’t even near the same ocean I am (or near any source of ocean at all).

I just remembered that I know what you looked like when you were taller than me. That scares me a little. WHERE DID THE YEARS GO?!

  2. Hello Sir Kyon. :) The years went away, I suppose.
