Kianoosh Sanjari: Released on bail
A while ago, I blogged about blogger Kianoosh Sanjari in response to one of Lorelle’s blogging challenges. I was in awe of the things he had did, even in face of the turmoil in his country.
Much to my surprise, I got an e-mail via my contact form from Kianoosh. At least, I hope it’s him and not someone posing as him. He sent me to this article about his release from prison on an equivalent to more than $100,000 in bail.
I think that you should send your prayers (or, if you don’t consider yourself religious) best wishes to Mr. Sanjari. He still has a trial in the future.
After all, people like him have a courage some of us can only hope to have.

Here’s to courage not publicized in Hollywood.
Jokes aside…
I hope that one day I will fear as he does. As in not at all.
nya. Extra nya for you sir.
I agree.
Kiyanoosh was born under the current Islamic Regime in Iran and had nothing to do with the bloody revolution in 1979 that took place in my home land Iran, and is now paying the price for our father’s mistakes like many other freedom fighters in Iran, who have either been killed under the Mullah’s tortures, or have been executed, or are in prisons and some are living and fighting the current regime underground.
But people like Kiyanoosh Sanjari and some others whom i am proud to know personally, are very rare. those who pay the price for the freedom of others, and yet continue to fight for what is right in a healthy society.
The people of Iran are so very proud of the youth such as Kiyanoosh Sanjari who has proven that fear is evil and braveness is a gift from God to all his creatures.
Some know the value of this gift and some will never realize what it means to fight for freedom and liberty….
The names of those who have paid andcontinue to pay for the price of the most basic rights of a human being “freedom of choice” will stay in our history books and hopefully the next generation will know that there was a price some people paid for what they can benefit from..
We must support the uprising of the young generation in Iran..
in my opinion there is only one way to bring peace in to the Middle East … and that is to have a Regime Change In Iran….
Roya — I’ve learned a lot just from your post. I hope that justice will happen and that the younger generation does not have to be oppressed. Thank you for visiting.
