More ReBoot, Please!
ReBoot, sorry to say to all of you animephiles out there, was the reason I became
addicted to Toonami. Sailor Moon? Just a side benefit. I adored the CG and the snide comments that undoubtedly would have not fazed me a bit had I been watching it at the tender age of seven. And the rabid fanaticism that I managed to glean from that point in time hasn’t really left me. (Seriously, ReBoot fanfiction is the only type I’ll read.)
Much to my delight, one of my favorite ReBoot fanstations (my word, okay? Don’t laugh) on the Internet, Slack & Hash’s Domain, tipped me off to this gorgeous comic-book style poster of the ReBoot characters. I nearly cried, I was so filled with emotion that ReBoot may actually return! Imagine how good you’d feel if Lennon and Ringo Starr rose from the dead to do a reunion tour with Paul and George. That’s just about how optimistic I felt.
Okay, so it was only a poster. I poster that I coerced my mother into buying for me for that wonderfully commercial holiday-Christmas.
But that wasn’t the end of it. I would have been happy if it were. But, no. My fangirl hopes have been elevated by RoadBoot, the blog that effectively shows have fanatical ReBoot fans are. They posted that Jim Su, a former animator for Mainframe, announced an artbook will be released in February 2007:
And that artbook will contain new material such as ReBoot re-imagined by leading comic book artists, as well as reprinting original character designs, CGI rendered images, promotional stills, and even some stuff that even the most hardcore ReBoot fan will have never seen before.
So paint me fanatical. Paint me whatever you want. But I know what I’ll be getting in February 2007.

Aww man, I miss ReBoot. I used to watch it when I came home from school as a kid, and I can only very vaguely remember the plot line (it involves a giant cube of sorts, right?).
Now you’re making me want to scoure YouTube and get back into it.

Hey Joe,
Thanks for visiting. ^_^ ReBoot involved a giant cube. Hehe, the original GameCube, to be exact. All about life in a computer. Good stuff.
Personally, I think that if the Beatles rose from the dead to do a tour, I’d freak out. Not the good happy kind either.
Now if you said that my favorite character from animation were to be real…
Now all they need to do is bring back Power Rangers. And I mean Kimberly and Tommy. And Billy.
Did Billy ever really go away? Now there’s a question…
[...] ReBoot has one of the most fanatical fan bases (ah, yes, that definitely was redundant) that I’ve ever encountered. Yes, it’s small. But fanatical. This is not my first post about ReBoot. But it is my first attempt to try to spread the fandom. Absorb! [...]
