Selling links and going commercial
HeartFulls is not necessarily a site that can be commercialized because of its personal nature. But I also need to a least get a little bit of earnings to use for incidental purchases, considering that college sucks the money right out of a student. And I also wanted to start buying Text Link Ads for my game site: I Eat Games.
So why am I rambling on about text links and a pittance of money that I could (feasibly) earn from selling them? Because, I learned through the Text Links Ad Calculator that I can feasibly make enough to place in the bank after the end of every month that would cover, at the very least, the interest of my student loan. That would be wonderful.
But where does taxes come into all of this? I’m so confused by the whole taxes idea (am I not supposed to list earnings if it’s under x amount of dollars?) and should I even be thinking about placing a small set of text links ads in the corner of my sidebar?
I open this up to my readers to determine. Would anyone be offended if I tried, in short, to earn a little “lunch” money so I can feel just slightly better about scrimping and saving?

*sigh*
J-sama! You should know that selling yourself for money is a terrible terrible thing!
No, I actually have no idea about all of this, as in how you can get money by selling adds and stuff…or whatnot. I think you should. If I could figure out this stuff then I’d be cool like you!
But seriously, you should try it out. And I’ll support you.

I’m not selling *myself* per se …
